AMP'D is the Music Ministry of SHINE!, the Middle School Ministry of The Chapel. Our goal is to develop young musicians and singers and give them opporunities to use their talents to worship God and lead others in worship. The AMP'D band plays every Sunday morning at SHINE! on the CrossPoint campus of The Chapel.
1. The Developmental Stage
In the Developmental Stage, we will give you a notebook and CD of all of the music we play on Sundays. You are expected to practice at home and learn the songs and are invited to join us at AMP'D practices. After we feel that you are ready to play the songs live with the AMP'D band, you will move to the rotation group.
2. The Rotation Group
In the Rotation Group, you will have an opportunity at least every other month to play with the AMP'D band on a Sunday. You will be expected to come to all AMP'D practices and continue to practice at home. As you continue to improve, and if a spot opens up, you may be invited to join the Sunday AMP'D Band.
3. The Sunday AMP'D Band
The Sunday AMP'D Band is expected to play every Sunday at the 9am and 11am SHINE! gatherings at the CrossPoint campus. Some members may be asked to play every other week or in another consistent rotation. You are expected to come to all AMP'D practices and continue to practice at home. Also, as a member of the Sunday AMP'D Band, we encourage you to help teach and develop players and singers in The Developmental Stage and Rotation Group of AMP'D.
As a member of AMP'D, you will fall in one of three categories...
